exiting the matrix

Exiting the matrix means letting go of a lifetime of programming, conditioning and beliefs that have shaped and created the reality in which we now live. Everything is a reflection of our consciousness, but in the physical, there has always been a delay… thoughts become things but some amount of time always passes between the thought and the manifestation of "the thing". That is just how it works in the physical dimension of time and space, shape and form, light and dark.

Even though this process has been and is speeding up as we accelerate our frequency as consciousness rises on this planet and reality’s true quantum nature becomes increasingly obvious and less “metaphorical”, it remains a process. Even in higher states of dimensional consciousness, “instant manifestation” still takes an “instant” of “time” for how else would we be able to set an intention? Time may be linear from a psychological, 3rd dimensional perspective, but this linear construct of time exists within a quantum field that is simultaneous, all around and within us ~ another dimension within this multidimensional multiverse... providing a grid and a container for life to unfold in a coherent way; however, the only time that ever really exists is the present now moment. When we were in the "past" we were there in then now. When we "get to the future", we will be there in the now.

With each breath, I can see clearly how time and space build around me to make my experience a personal journey. It is consciousness we breathe. It is energy.

Wherever there is “a thing”, there is time. Whenever there is “an event”, there is time. The nature of life is change. It is a dynamic, unfolding event in time, which from our perspective, appears linear.

When one’s consciousness begins to “root out” fundamental beliefs and programs which have been instilled not only in our individual consciousness by family, school, religion, friends, but also into our collective consciousness by culture, government, society and institutionalized “norms” of expectation of the human experience… we may be surprised that every foundational aspect of our lives (such as our jobs, homes or living arrangements, relationships of all kinds) shift, but we are only surprised so long as we don’t yet fully realize or accept that we have changed…and therefore, so must our reflections shift, change and evolve in coherence with our consciousness. Some might say, “I haven’t really changed-I’ve awakened”, but a change in perspective is still change and though subtle in nature, deeply profound.

We are the creators of our reality and the shift in consciousness many are experiencing right now is a deeply-seeded awareness that we are always creating our reality and that the sooner we start to take responsibility for it, the sooner we get our power back to consciously design our lives in coherence with our highest intentions and selves.

The last couple of years have changed many human beings' lives and how they view the world. Some have become more fearful of everything and everyone.. many are deeply depressed, feeling alone and struggling to make it from one day to the next.. many millions more are desperately looking for work as they have found themselves "let go", or their businesses crushed by lockdowns.. many millions more are protesting tyranny whilst a few are getting very, very rich. Truthfully most of us are trying to figure out how to get by with less than we had before now when everything is costing more and what that means for the end of the month? Will I make rent this month? Will I be able to keep a roof over my kids' heads?...honestly… I hope so. It feels like every month since 2020 has flown by on “a hope and a prayer” that things were going to work out and they have, but I can honestly say that in my lifetime of nearly half a century, I have not personally ever witnessed humanity so “wigged out” and edgy.. and for good reason.

Events of the past two years have shaken people to the core. The collective is so polarized about such seemingly big, but utterly nonsensical topics.. there is an overload of information like I've never seen being dumped into people's minds - a constant stream of consistently fear-based messages are broadcast across all frequencies to keep humanity focused just about everywhere but itself. After all, if you consider that it is the subconscious programs that dictate our behaviours, habits, thought patterns and beliefs, then what better way to keep billions of people on a postage-stamp sized version of reality than fear? But, nothing has control over us unless we allow it. At some point during the awakening process one realizes the ecstatic freedom that taking responsibility offers. To choose how we will respond to life, instead of reacting out of subconscious programming, is liberating and it is power.

The place where we have been focused is on the material world - a projected physical reality manifested by our consciousnesses and held together by the beliefs and subconscious programs running our thought waves, focus and energy.. where attention goes, energy flows… is more truth in one sentence than most have come to realize… The question isn’t are we creators of our own reality? The question is, are we consciously creating our reality or are we allowing it to run by its “default software”?

Are we allowing society’s programming to run our computers or are we aware of our power and consciously choosing what we create? Because, the truth is, we have a choice. We always have the ability to choose our thoughts. That is the radical truth and when we accept it…that’s when we discover what freedom truly means, because true freedom requires taking responsibility for our lives, including our thoughts.

When we take radical responsibility for our lives, we realize the privilege it is to be here on Earth, and we may very likely then feel truly inspired to create a life that is a wonderful, abundant, beautiful, love-filled experience. To get "there", however, we must grow and mature as beings who are ready to take responsibility for ourselves, each other and the Earth. To realize that we cannot, in good conscience, step into our power as Divine creators without acknowledging and honouring the interconnected nature of our reality… that “trying to conquer” anything in life is self defeating for we thrive when everything else does and it cannot be any other way. ALL IS ONE. We cannot hurt another without simultaneously hurting ourselves. Though it may seem like one is thriving while another is suffering, that is either extremely short lived or a complete lie. Exiting the matrix, amongst many things, means exiting the lie that it's okay for a few to have more power, money, food and resources while the great majority suffer to survive.

These days I often feel like a stranger in new land, seeing myself for the first time through the eyes of something new, different and shocking… like travelling the world, our collective has been travelling through waves of "culture shock", consciousness and profound shifts in how we see ourselves… Just like when travelling to a new country with an entirely different culture, one cannot ever enjoy or learn anything new if they remain scared of what is different the entire time, if humanity is going to be scared of everything and each other, what the fish are we doing here? Of course it’s important to be aware of danger, but never have I ever seen such nonsensical programming as the recent mandates .. "crazy making madness" - sit down, mask off, stand up, mask on, bend over… well, you get the point. but seriously, what are we doing?

We are waking up, but what does that really mean? Waking up to realize that we have given so much of our power away to "authority" in exchange for the illusion of security. Taking responsibility for ourselves as Divine creators of reality means accepting that none of us are getting out of this adventure, called life, alive. That's not to say we shouldn't honour life and treat it with great respect as the sacred gift that it is, but if we are scared of living it to our full potential, what will we learn?

The term "matrix" means many things to many people and for me it isn't necessarily a negative. The matrix web of energy fields that holds our world together is essential for any of this reality to exist. The matrix of systems that keep our divinely intelligent bodies, with trillions of cells in communication with one another, at all times, with little to no effort on our part, is beyond brilliant without which our souls would not be able to journey through this experience. The great matrix web of life is a beautiful thing of Divine Creation and Intelligence. However, within the world the ego projects many matrices onto itself which can be used to confine consciousness to a narrow, fearful and limited perspective of life, and then it can feel like a cage.

The matrix that is the internet, connecting all of humanity around the planet, is a wonderful opportunity for connection and expansion, but it can also be used to enslave consciousness as we see people's addiction to their phones resulting in their minds' becoming trapped into thoughts and belief systems that aren't even their own. Most, if not all, of the mainstream media channels are owned and controlled by those who profit greatly from its messages. Messages which greatly influence how people live their lives and view each other and the world. Part of taking responsibility for our life is taking responsibility for what we feed our minds. Considering the source of information and the agendas attached to it is essential to having clarity about the purpose of a message.

When I think of "exiting the matrix" - the one that aims to direct, control and enslave humanity's consciousness into a very limited understanding of life in order to profit from that dependecy and those perceived limitations - I quite simply mean turning it off. The law of nature is that whatever we pay attention to grows. If our intention is to evolve as a humanity beyond the world we have known, to leave war, poverty and hatred behind, then we must align our intention with our attention. I am not suggesting we ignore suffering, but we can look at how our systems, politics and states of consciousness repeatedly create conflict when war is the last thing that any of us truly want.

Among many brilliant teachings, this is what yoga teaches us how to do - to exit the world of the ever-repeating known and explore the unknown. This is known as "peeling the onion". It is the process of unlearning most of what we have been taught in order to discover what is real, what is true, who we are and why we are here.

Sometimes people look at me like I'm a little crazy when I tell them that I don't watch the news or engage in political debate. I'm okay with that. I have yet to see politicians solve "a crisis" without creating more problems, often leading to extremely profitable but excruciating war.

I’m okay with being an outsider to the mainstream. Even though this can be a challenging part of awakening when friends can no longer relate with the same knowing they once felt with you, life isn’t about remaining the same. Nature teaches us this everywhere we look. The Divine matrices of life are a web of infinite diversity and oneness. Everything and everyone is interconnected and yet, amidst billions of people, trillions of trees, and an immeasurable number of stars, no two are exactly the same.

“You either believe that there are no miracles, or you realize that everything is a miracle.”

Loving from a place of miracle is to witness the matrix from within and beyond; to know that one is in it but not of it, that every program can be deprogrammed, every condition altered, elevated and transcended through personal transformation for the version of the matrix that makes one feel like prisoner is self-created and perpetuated by unconscious choices fed by the energy of habit and asuric, or “out of tune” energetic bodies. To know that the ancients knew this which is why the wise ones taught stillness and self-realization to those willing to listen and learn.

I’m not saying to follow the white rabbit, in fact, I’m saying there is no trap that isn’t of our own making, which, if you really think about it, is why it can feel so deceptive… nothing could be so well hidden from oneself except one’s true self within the very place from which one seeks. All connected, all interconnected - a Divine Matrix of Source Awareness… so perhaps to exit is to enter and let go of knowing, to know abundance where most see lack, to choose love when triggered by fear, and to go beyond the self that wants to control everything because it does not know how to feel safe without knowing the true Self.

We are in the midst of a radical shift in human consciousness, which, according to the Laws of the Universe, has to change the outward projection of the inner reality.

“I’ve been asked many times whether this is the aquarian age and it’s all just beginning, or if this is armageddon and this is the end, and I have to admit I don’t know.

The way I’ve usually copped out in dealing with it is saying, “Whichever way it goes, my work is the same. My work is to quiet my mind and open my heart and relieve suffering wherever I find it.” That seems to be what my life is about, and it doesn’t matter which it is- it’s the beginning of everything or the end of everything – regardless, that’s still what I gotta do.”
