Trust
There are days when my "cage is rattled" and my stomach has that falling feeling... something is coming and I can sense it "a mile away"… it is change and I know that it is calling me forward in life once again. How I respond is my choice for I know in my heart and Soul that we live in a universe of benevolent design.
There is no judgment, no fear, no worry in our hearts or higher Self - these things all exist in the lower mind of the ego. When we connect, we can sense that ALL is DIVINE, we can trust that we will not be given anything we cannot handle and that we always have a choice: fear or love.
Fear says, "be careful", something "dangerous" is headed your way.. something "unpredictable" and unknown and the human mind leaps to the worst case scenario. This is not our "fault". We have been conditioned and programmed for generations to default to our survival instincts which are designed to watch for "danger", but we have forgotten that change is also a natural part of life and, a welcome one.
We may want to "trust that everything will stay the same", but who are we kidding? None of us are the same as when we were children, ten years or ten minutes ago; every Autumn the leaves change colour and fall… Change is the natural process of Life, but in order to welcome it, we must challenge ourselves to see how deep can we can go into each moment, embracing it as if it were our last; welcoming the new instead of clinging to the old... You can do it and the only thing it requires is that you learn to trust yourself again.
Trust that you are where you are meant to be right now. No matter the circumstance ~ especially if it is challenging and not what you want. Chaos and order exist simultaneously within and without. By accepting the "chaos", we divine the order of things clearly within and around us. We are able to finally let go of the desire to control life and may discover the wisdom in aligning with the natural order of the universe in its naturally harmonious, divine and ever-abundant flow.
"For those who would like to take control of the world and act on it--
I see that with this they simply will not succeed.
The world is a sacred vessel:
It is not something that can be acted upon.
those who act on it destroy it;
Those who hold on to it lose it."
~ Lao Tzu
The Tao teaches us that the desire to control that which cannot be controlled is not only futile, but destructive. We cannot hold onto anything in a world of impermanence for when the very nature of the universe is energy-in-motion, that includes humanity. We are a part of Nature - different and unique perhaps than many "other parts", but not separate. Change is the nature of life. We are human beings. We are a part of nature and if we stop growing and changing as individual consciousnesses, we stop evolving as a collective.
So we have a choice. Our world is changing rapidly as we are going through a radical shift in consciousness. Many factors are driving this change, but essentially humanity has the opportunity to take a leap in consciousness that will forever redefine how we perceive life and its purpose. Some believe we have forgotten to ask the most important question ~ why am I here? No doubt in some part because we know in asking such a profound and meaningful question, we are inviting new experiences and perspectives into our lives. We are inviting change and in a world that has become obsessed with “security” and consistency, it’s not something many of us are inclined to do. However it is this very resistance to change that is arguably causing some of our biggest challenges on Earth.
Now we have the opportunity to go beyond fear and choose love in how we live and interact with the world: cooperation over competition; generosity over greed; people + planet over profit, but it means that a lot is going to have to change… we are going to have to let go of a lot of the fears we carry around believing it is keeping us safe when really, fear is what keeps us anchored to our struggles.
BE LIKE WATER
Water is gentle and humble and will go into the darkest, smallest, deepest cracks of the Earth ~ nothing withstands the force and the flow of this Divine being. Everything is energy and like water which stands still for too long and becomes murky, energy gets stuck and shadowy when we do not keep it flowing...
Water is FIERCE LOVE. It can rise to wash away entire coastlines and swallow life into its oceanic abyss, but it is water that nurtures life on Earth. It is a cosmic force of creation and it composes a great deal of our physical bodies. Perhaps it is bringing the flexible and fluid nature of water into our minds and attitudes is one of the many lessons it carries for us as we learn to evolve.
Trust that when change comes for you, it is progress. Trust the laws of Nature and the universal and benevolent order of this dance with the Divine. Trust that you chose to be here now ~ that your Soul welcomed this incarnation and asked for it; therefore, the more open and accepting we become of what lays before us, the deeper and more joyous the experience can be for us all.
